Restless....

Well as some of you may know I am a,

 RESTLESS SOUL.

Restless in the sense that, I need change!!
That's right change is a good thing for me,
that is when it comes to my home furnishings
and wall colors.
Honey always tells me that were loosing square footage in our home due to
all the different layers of paint colors we've had on the walls.
But that's "OK" with me,
I'm willing to sacrifice a few inches slowly
over time to have just the right color.
So as you might have already guessed,  I'm at it again.
My colorful, restless inter muse has grown tired with her surroundings.

my front room currently

Now mind you if my muse had her way, she would hire out all the work,
and buy all new furnishings,
but alas, she to has a limited budget as well.

So it's time for her to roll up her sleeves and get to work.
Time to pull out the sewing machine and painting supplies.
For my living space transformation.

I have chosen a color pallet that reminds me of the
Oregon Coast.

I have always longed to live on the Coast of Oregon.
I love all the colors of the coast,
they calm me,
they bring peace to my soul as well as
invigorate me with so many splashes of color.
So if I can't move to the Oregon Coast, I'm going to bring
the Oregon Coast to me!!

I've chose to use blue, grey and cream for the walls.

With accent colors of mustard, maroon, green, darker shades of blue
and splashes of white.

I would love it if you would join me in my homes transformation.
It's always better working with friends, it helps lighten the load,
and makes time fly.
I'll share my before and after photo's with you, as well
as giving you my opinion and review of the different products I will be using.
Feel free to jump in any time with comments or questions.
So let's put on our paint clothes, roll up our sleeves,
and get started!!!!

Tinkering in the Jewelry Studio

I've had the worse case of painters block lately,
so I decided to make a change.

Maybe with my heart and head moving in a new direction,
I could get over this painters block.

So I headed out to my Jewelry Studio!!

While I was there I created a new piece for my daughter.
She was in need of a graduation gift for a
 sweet friend.
This is what I came up with,

It made for a great graduation gift and the new owner was thrilled!!

I also had the opportunity to attend a Silver Clay class hosted by the
 amazingly talented
Stephanie Chavez

I loved this class and an now addicted to Silver Clay!!
Take a look at what I created in just a couple of hours.

I can't begin to tell you just how much fun I had!!
Now I need to start saving my pennies so I can get my own kiln and
silver supplies.

Now I'm heading back to my painting studio to see if I can't
whip up a birthday present for my niece.
Wish me luck, I'll report back with the finished project!!

BULLS EYE!!!

Ya know my Honey asked me the other day if I wanted to go
shooting with him, he wanted to sight in his new gun.
Well of course my first thought was "NO", I want to go play
in my Jewelry Studio.
But then I remembered just who built that Jewelry Studio,
and just how grateful I was to have one.
So I wrangled a lunch in there and answered with a smile,
YES, I'd love to!!

We went to his regular spot out in the west desert
where it was hot and dusty and not much to look at,
(except for the hansom man with a gun)
I took a couple of shot and hit a bulls eye with my second shot.

I think I impressed my Honey, while sending a bit of an
intimidating message at the same time.

So once I had achieved the bulls eye, I was done.
As Honey continued to shoot,
I began to do what has become habit for me,
I began to clean up after my Honey.

As I picked up the sent casing I placed them neatly
back in their box, all the time wondering,
"what could I make out of these?"
Nothing came to me right away so I put the thought aside
and continued to do my part in keeping the desert beautiful.

The next day the idea of
just what I could do with those spent casing came to me.

Take a look,
let me know what you think!!!

I put a little note of encouragement inside this casing.

I also put a note in this casing as well but what you
can't see are the multiple holes that I drilled all
over the casing.
Now I can fill the casing with Lavender,
and I'll be able to smell it all day.

Hope you enjoyed my recycled Bullet Casing!!
Thanks for dropping by!!!

Sit down and relax....

Hello all,
I just wanted to take a minute to invite you to
sit down and relax with me.

This is my sweet new water feature,
it was my Mothers Day present from my loving family.

Now I can sit and listen to the water sing to me
 along with the birds.

I love this time of year,
all of my favorite flowers are blooming,
and showing off!!

Right here in the shade of my dancing Aspens
you'll find a couple of chairs and a nice
little glider to rest on.

This is where I come to relax, to think, to dream!!!
This is my little piece of heaven.

So your always welcome to ring the bell for a visit.
Theres bound to be tea brewing or lemonade chilling.

Thanks for sharing in my piece of mind.
